Ahhhhh, the first day of summer, and it is BEAUTIFUL here in Kentucky! The skies are blue, the sun is shining, and those sexy bikinis are starting to pop up everywhere… Want to really wow all of the guys at the beach or lake? Get your legs looking great! Here are my favorite tips for sexy summer legs. You can thank me later.
Move that Lower Body
While some girls are blessed with movie-star-caliber legs, most of us have to work for them a bit. I would love to say that there’s a magic pill for sexy stems, but anything worth having takes at least a little bit of work. The key here is to MOVE THAT BODY. Make sure that all of the movements in your workout include movement for your lower body — think body-weight squats, lunges, biking, barre, and yoga. Don’t forget to stretch thoroughly to keep those muscles long and lean, and to prevent injury.
Also, don’t neglect a healthy diet! I’m not pushing a specific diet agenda but clean, healthy eating can make a big difference in your metabolism and body composition. I subscribe to SHAPE magazine and it has tons of tips for both healthy eating and exercising. (Plus their models are real people and not photo-shopped perfection.)
Make ‘Em Smooth
Now that you have your legs strong and lean, let’s make sure that they are soft and sexy to the touch! There are two major components to this… a sharp razor, and a quality shave cream. Self tanning has come a long way in recent years, eliminating your need to bake on the back porch. You can try to self tan yourself (try L’Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes), but a spray tan artist can take your bronze to the next level. Think sculpting with spray. They use the product to highlight the muscle that you already have and can add definition with highlights. Don’t want to risk trying it at home? Go with a pro!
Lastly, WERK ‘EM!
Don’t be afraid to show off your sexy legs! Get comfortable in your own skin, and be proud of the legs you brought to the party! Legs come in all shapes and sizes, and ask any guy and he’ll tell you that one size does NOT fit all. Your shape, definition, and color is BEAUTIFUL. So make sure you share that beauty with everyone!
